AUXILIUM MEANS…

As part of the preparations for the reopening of the new academic year, the teaching staff of Auxilium Baroda, had an informative session on 4 June 2026, conducted by the School Manager, Sr. Philomena D’Souza.

The session focused on helping the teachers gain a deeper understanding of the spirit, history, and mission of Auxilium. Sr. Philomena D’Souza began by explaining the meaning of the word Auxilium, which signifies “help” or “support.” She emphasized that this simple yet profound word reflects the institution’s commitment to nurturing young minds through guidance, care, and value-based education.

She also familiarized the staff with the contents of the school handbook, elaborating on the vision, mission, policies, and values that guide the Auxilium educational community. Through her explanation, teachers gained a clearer understanding of their role in fostering a positive and holistic learning environment for students while working in partnership with parents.

A major highlight of the session was the rich history of the Auxilium Sisters. She traced the journey of the congregation from its origins to its arrival in India, with special emphasis on the establishment and growth of the Auxilium presence in Vadodara. She highlighted the institutions total commitment to education, especially the formation of young people through a preventive system rooted in reason, religion, and loving kindness. She spoke on St. Mary Mazzarello and Don Bosco the visionary leaders and founders of the institute.

The session proved to be both enlightening and enriching, helping the teachers connect more deeply with the heritage and values of the institution. It offered an opportunity to reflect on the noble mission entrusted to every educator at Auxilium and set a positive and inspiring tone for the beginning of the new academic year.
