Auxilium Convent High School, Baroda, organized an enriching seminar for its teaching staff on 5 June 2026 on the theme “Integrating AI into Teaching: Enhancing Learning in the Digital Age.” The session was conducted by Ms. Kiran Tiwari, a professional trainer and expert in educational technology, who served as the resource person for the programme.
The seminar commenced with a warm welcome and an introduction of the speaker by Ms. Aarti Badhauria. As a gesture of gratitude and respect, Ms. Kiran Tiwari was welcomed with a sapling presented by Ms. Jolly Rathod, symbolizing growth, learning, and sustainability.

Before the technical session began, the School Manager, Sr. Philomena D'Souza, addressed the staff on the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence in education. Drawing inspiration from the teachings of Pope Leo XIV, she highlighted the importance of using AI responsibly and wisely. Referring to the Pope’s call to uphold human dignity in an increasingly digital world, she emphasized that while AI is a powerful tool, it can never replace the human person, whose creativity, values, conscience, and relationships remain at the heart of education. A short video clip was screened to reinforce the message that ethics and technology must go hand in hand, and that AI should be used to support and enhance learning rather than substitute genuine human interaction and critical thinking.
Ms. Tiwari continued her session and the session then provided valuable insights into the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in modern education and how it can be effectively integrated into classroom teaching to enrich students’ learning experiences. Through engaging presentations and practical demonstrations, the resource person introduced teachers to a variety of AI-powered tools and platforms, including ChatGPT, Padlet, Canva, and other digital resources that can enhance lesson planning, content creation, assessment, and student engagement.
A highlight of the seminar was the hands-on training that enabled teachers to explore these tools personally and apply them to real classroom situations. Participants actively created AI-assisted lesson plans, designed learning materials, and experienced firsthand how technology can make teaching more interactive, creative, and efficient. The practical sessions empowered teachers to confidently incorporate digital tools into their daily teaching practices while maintaining sound pedagogical principles.
To maintain enthusiasm and active participation throughout the programme, energizing physical activities were interspersed during the session. These activities not only refreshed the participants but also created a lively and collaborative learning atmosphere. The seminar was highly interactive, allowing teachers to ask questions, share experiences, and discover innovative ways to integrate technology meaningfully into the learning process.
The seminar concluded with a sincere vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Megha Shah, who expressed sincere appreciation to Ms. Kiran Tiwari for sharing her expertise, inspiring the staff, and equipping them with practical digital skills for the future of education.
