The Season of Creation began with great enthusiasm and participation, focusing on our shared responsibility to care for God’s creation. A series of meaningful spiritual, environmental, and educational activities were organized to create awareness and encourage the youth and the tuition children to become responsible stewards of nature.

The celebration began with a prayer service animated by Sr. Priyanka Tirkey, seeking God’s guidance and expressing gratitude for the gift of creation especially to cherish water. It was followed by a beach cleaning drive organized with the youth. The young people actively participated in cleaning the beach, demonstrating their commitment to protecting the environment and keeping our surroundings clean.

A fruit tree plantation drive was also conducted as a practical step towards caring for nature. The activity highlighted the importance of trees in sustaining life and encouraged the community to contribute to a greener environment.

To involve the children creatively, a drawing competition was organized for the tuition students on the theme “Living Water.” The children expressed their thoughts and appreciation for water and creation through colourful and imaginative drawings. The tuition children also participated in a “Walk with Nature” activity. This provided them with an opportunity to observe and appreciate the beauty of God’s creation and to understand the importance of protecting the natural world around them. Another meaningful activity was meditation on nature, which helped us reflect on the beauty, wonder, and sacredness of creation. It encouraged us to recognize God’s presence in nature and to deepen their sense of responsibility towards the environment and towards conservation of water.

We concluded the Season of Creation celebrations concluded with a Eucharistic celebration on 3rd October 2026, offering thanks to God for the gift of creation and praying for the grace to become faithful and responsible stewards of our common home.

The various activities brought together prayer, reflection, learning, community participation, and practical action. The season of Creation was a meaningful reminder that caring for creation is not only an environmental responsibility but also an expression of our faith and gratitude to God.
