World Environment Day 2025- PROVINCE LEVEL

The province-level celebration of The World Environment Day was observed on 5th June 2025 with enthusiasm and a renewed sense of responsibility towards protecting Mother Earth. Guided by the theme “End Plastic Pollution,” the day inspired thoughtful reflection and purposeful action across all communities. The celebration began with a creative and meaningful prayer service conducted in each community. This prayer moment invited all to embrace ecological conversion and reflect deeply on their role as stewards of creation. It encouraged a genuine commitment to reducing plastic use and promoting sustainable living.

As part of the day's activities, a Community Nature Picture Competition was organized, inviting communities to capture and submit images that highlighted the beauty of nature and their environmental efforts. The entries showcased vibrant scenes of greenery, community gardening, recycling initiatives, and symbolic actions that expressed care for the planet. The top three submissions were recognized for their creativity, strong ecological message, and active community involvement.

In the evening, an individual online quiz focused on ecological awareness and the impact of plastic pollution was conducted via Google Forms. The event saw enthusiastic participation from individuals across the province. The three highest scores were acknowledged for their knowledge and commitment to environmental awareness.

To further reinforce the message of the day, an animated video on ecology, with a special emphasis on ending plastic pollution, was shared with all communities. The video served as a powerful visual reminder of the harmful effects of plastic waste and offered practical steps for creating a more sustainable future. The day concluded with a sense of unity and determination to care for the Earth, emphasizing that every small action counts in the journey towards a plastic-free world.
