TOGETHER WE CAN CHANGE THE WORLD" – A CALL TO ACTION

"The best way to predict the future is to create it." – Peter Drucker. On June 5, 2025, a new chapter unfolded at Auxilium Convent School, Baroda, as Sister Philomena D'Souza, the newly appointed School Manager, addressed the teaching faculty for the very first time. The meeting marked a significant moment of connection and shared purpose between the school administration and the dedicated educators who form the heart of the institution.

With warmth and sincerity, Sister Philomena expressed heartfelt gratitude for the teachers’ tireless commitment to shaping young minds. She emphasized the value of collaboration, unity, and purpose-driven teamwork in achieving the school's shared mission of holistic education and personal growth.

Attentively listening to each teacher introduce themselves and the subjects they teach, Sister rekindled a spirit of renewed dedication among the staff. Her keynote speech, titled "Act Now for a Sustainable Future," served as a powerful reminder of the environmental responsibilities we all share.

She spoke passionately about the urgency of addressing environmental challenges, reminding everyone of the adverse impacts of human behavior on our planet. Sister Philomena urged the teachers to take meaningful steps, both personally and with their students, to adopt sustainable habits — such as minimizing plastic use, conserving water, and fostering eco-conscious living. She encouraged the school community to embrace environmental stewardship not just as a duty, but as a way of life.

Importantly, she underlined the role of education as a catalyst for change, inspiring teachers to empower students to become active participants in building a greener, healthier world.
