Auxilium Baroda organized a Workers' Seminar on 2 June 2026 to create greater awareness and understanding of the Safeguarding Policy among the support staff. The resource person for the day was Ms. Heena Parmar, Supervisor of the Gujarati Medium Section.

The session commenced with a meaningful prayer service led by Ms. Heena Parmar, invoking God's blessings upon all present and seeking wisdom, understanding, and commitment towards creating a safe and respectful environment for every child and adult in the institution. This was followed by a series of lively ice-breaker activities that helped the participants feel relaxed, encouraged active participation, and fostered a spirit of openness and collaboration.

The main focus of the seminar was the Safeguarding Policy. Ms. Parmar explained the importance of safeguarding in schools and emphasized the responsibility of every staff member in ensuring the safety, dignity, and well-being of children. Using practical examples drawn from everyday situations, she helped the participants understand various forms of abuse, neglect, inappropriate behaviour, and the need for vigilance in protecting children from harm.

To make the session interactive and effective, she engaged the workers in group discussions, role plays, and collaborative activities. Participants worked in groups to analyse different scenarios and identify appropriate responses according to the safeguarding guidelines. They were encouraged to share their experiences and reflections, which led to meaningful discussions and a deeper understanding of the policy.

The seminar proved to be highly informative and enriching, enabling the workers to better understand their role in safeguarding and strengthening their commitment to maintaining a safe, caring, and protective environment for all.
