YOUTH PASTORAL PROJECT 2025 – AUXILIUM BARODA
From 26th to 29th June 2025, Auxilium Baroda organized the Youth Pastoral Project (YPP) orientation for students, conducted section-wise across the primary, middle, and higher secondary levels. Teachers guided the sessions, focusing on three key areas: the Strenna, the Global Compact on Education, and the International Year of Cooperatives.
The Strenna 2025 was introduced under the hopeful theme "Starting the Year with Hope". The speaker emphasized the need for peace in a world facing conflict—in places like Ukraine, Israel, Sudan, and parts of India. The message encouraged students to trust in God's presence and spread kindness and love. The core theme, "Anchored in Hope, Pilgrims with Young People", was explained in three parts: hope that goes beyond fear, walking together in hope, and nurturing the dreams of young people. Students were invited to reflect on how they could become beacons of hope in their families, schools, and society.

The Global Compact on Education, a worldwide initiative, was introduced with the goal of placing the student at the heart of the educational process. It emphasizes the holistic development of young people by focusing on key values such as career guidance, active listening, gender equality, family bonding, inclusivity, civic awareness, and environmental responsibility. Through this initiative, students are encouraged to explore future careers, engage in leadership opportunities, and participate meaningfully in discussions. The importance of promoting gender equity is underscored by involving girls in initiatives like STEM and observing days dedicated to the girl child. Families are urged to foster deeper connections by spending quality screen-free time together. The initiative also promotes a welcoming spirit that values cultural diversity and inclusion. Furthermore, students are guided to understand economic and political systems in ways that nurture peace and responsible citizenship, while being made aware of their duty to protect the environment—our shared home.

The session on the International Year of Cooperatives (IYC), a 2025 UN initiative, explored the theme "Cooperatives Build a Better World". The speaker explained how cooperatives promote shared goals, job creation, and community development. Students learned the value of teamwork and fairness through relatable examples like tuck shops and eco-clubs. The talk emphasized that even small cooperative efforts can lead to real-world change and a sustainable future.
These sessions left students inspired and motivated to act on the messages shared. It was a meaningful and enriching experience for all involved.
