The school reopened after the summer vacation. The Staff and students came to school, all looking forward to the new academic year. A prayer service was conducted to implore God’s blessings. The headmistress Sr. Sheela Furtado then welcomed everyone home and invited everyone to make a good start. A new year of opportunities was thus opened up with hope, expectation, and fervour.

The SMAC (Social media Awareness Campaign) from Mumbai led by Sr. Lavita Sequeira FMA conducted sessions for the students of Std. VIII to X. It was also held for the staff, parents. It was done because as media is posing many challenges all over the world especially to the youth. The dangers of social media were expounded by the SMAC team and through videos presented the problems involved.
Awareness leads to the judicious use of social media which can help us all to make beneficial use of social media. Everyone appreciated the efforts of the SMAC team in enlightening us on this critical topic.
