Jesus says: “Go to the whole world, proclaim the good news, baptise them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…” October is a month of Mission and the Rosary. We, the Mornese Vihar Community along with our boarders began the month of the mission. ‘Thirty-one’ garlands were offered to Our Lady and the prayers offered for thirty-one days for the missionaries all over the world specially our own FMA and the Salesians.
Each Sister took turns to animate the prayers, and the Rosary along with the children with their own creativity, offering our prayers and little sacrifices for the missionaries. ‘Goodnights’ were given by the Sisters for the children based on our missionary saints and Sisters who toiled on earth and especially on the Indian soil. On Mission Sunday, through the powerpoint presentation, the Holy Father’s message was presented to the Sisters and the children. Sr. Jeena Bandya creatively animated the Rosary and offered prayers for each of the five continents, that they may be the true evangelizers in proclaiming the values of the kingdom of God, thus becoming the reflection of God’s love to others, in a multi-cultural society.
May Our Blessed Mother, the first missionary of all missionaries who was fully involved in the mission of Jesus from the birth till the foot of the cross, be an example for all of us to be His effective missionaries wherever we are planted and thus to grow in sanctity and enable others to grow in holiness.
