AMAR #1052 Farewell Function for Tr. Rebecca John at Auxilium Lonavla!

On 19th October, the school bade farewell to Tr. Rebecca as she retires after 35 years of service to Auxilium Convent High School, Lonavla. Tr. Rebecca was welcomed and escorted to the basement hall by the animator Sr. Teresa Joseph and the headmistress, Sr. Sheela Furtado. A prayer service was conducted imploring copious blessings on Tr. Rebecca and thanking God for the gift of her to the Institute.

A brief description of her qualifications, hobbies, and activities was readout. Tr. Rebecca was then felicitated by the management, staff, and students with gifts and floral bouquets from all the sections of the school.

Glowing tributes were paid to Tr. Rebecca by representatives of all sections of the school. Words of appreciation and praise flowed out towards Tr. Rebecca.

Then followed a powerpoint presentation highlighting the achievements and qualities of Tr. Rebecca’s various messages from the Salesian sisters and retired staff members were played out as part of the PPT.  Some videos of the present staff were played with special messages for the teacher. Sr. Teresa Joseph, the manager of the school then addressed the assembly. She expressed deep gratitude for Tr. Rebecca’s 35 years of service and highlighted her virtues.

The Headmistress Sr. Sheela Furtado then addressed the school and expressed her deep gratitude to the teacher. She praised her for the many good as she worked in the Institution for a long time.

Tr. Rebecca was then called upon to address the gathering. She shared anecdotes from her life that could inspire our students. She then gave a speech thanking everyone who had helped her over the years. Her deep sense of gratitude was expressed to teachers and students alike. She expressed gratitude towards all the Sisters and the management under whom she had worked. She highlighted the role of Sr. Sheela in her life and thanked her profusely. On this note of gratitude Tr. Rebecca bid farewell to the school. Students of all classes presented cards they had lovingly made for Tr. Rebecca.
