AMAR # 1102 Nutrition and Environment Camp at Ahmednagar!

On 11th December 2019, we at Auxilium Community College, Ahmednagar began the Nutrition and Environment camp for three days. We began with an inaugural function, and Miss. Supriya D’Souza who is an active social worker at the Jesuit Social Centre was the Chief Guest. Sr. Pushpa Parmar began with a short prayer after which Miss. Supriya D’Souza spoke to the nursing students on how to become Angels of health and care.  Sr. Teresa Plathara, the Animator of the community welcomed the gathering and declared the camp open.

The camp work was divided among the students, who cooked and worked in the garden, giving them a first-hand experience of living in tents in the heart of Mother Nature. All the students enjoyed the camp to the full and gave themselves generously for the work entrusted to them. Every day the students cooked different dishes and it was judged by the sisters and marks were given to them. We also had different competitions on different days like Rangoli and Essay writing.

On the last day, we had a closing ceremony and we ended the camp with the blessings of the Holy Eucharist. Rev.Fr. Anand Borde was the main celebrant. He shared inspiring messages in his homily. In the end, we distributed certificates to the students who had done well in the competitions.
