AMAR # 1108 Celebrating 70 years and beyond… at Auxilium Wadala!

“Trees are God’s alphabets, with them He writes His message of love each day,” says Leonora Speyer.

A gigantic tree is a home to many varied species, they spread their branches wide to provide shade and shelter even to a woodcutter. Trees are often referred to as life-givers. The Auxilium school Wadala celebrated 70 years of our existence in the vicinity of Wadala where the school is a sheltering home to thousands of girls helping them be good and effective citizens of our nation.

We thank God for our pioneers Sr.Eugenia Versino and Sr. Berta Sperrfecter for being far visionaries to reach out to the weak and vulnerable of the society.

The solemn inaugural mass on 2 January was celebrated by Fr. Savio Silvera SDB, the  Provincial of the Mumbai province.  He emphasised that we need to count our successes by the students passed out of our institute and reach out to others in their own unique way.

To make this day remarkable the school held various creative inter-school competitions where many schools participated. Gala Day was organised for 2 days and was held by the primary and secondary sections. It was indeed days to know the entrepreneur qualities of our students.

In honour of this 70 years jubilee celebration, the memorial was inaugurated by our Provincial  Sr.Ritha Dora Thomas on 4th January.

With St. Paul we say “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing and give thanks to God at every moment.” In this time of jubilation of 70 years of hard work, sacrifice and dedication, we ask our God to walk with us as we journey ahead bringing life and in our effort in making young girls better citizens of our nation.
