AMAR # 1117 Experience of Second Novitiate at Chennai

From 15th November to 15th December 2019 the Second Novitiate Programme First Phase was organized by the PCI level at Manivakkam (Chennai). Eleven Sisters from the four provinces of India i.e Bombay, Chennai, Kolkata, and Trichy took part in this mega event under the efficient guidance and leadership of Sr. D. J. Margaret (INM). “A thankful person is a cheerful person.” We, Sr. Suvarna Lugi and Sr. Urmila Torane are thankful to God for His bountiful blessings which He showered on us during our stay at Manivakkam- Chennai.

The entire programme helped us to deepen our love for Jesus to whom we are going to commit our lives totally. We have learnt to value the beauty of religious life and the preciousness of the gratuitous gift of our call. We feel that we have deepened our relationship with God through regular personal, and community prayer moments. We have realized the importance of contemplative prayer, and the significance of silence and reflection. We are energized by the short outings that we were offered with. We are very much privileged to visit Our Lady of Velankanni (Our Lady of Good Health).

We want to live our life to the full meaningfully and purposefully. We are grateful to our Mother Provincial Sr. Rita Dora and her Council for giving us this golden opportunity to have a rich and enriching experience at Chennai and Sr. Nirmala Lazar and the Province of INM for accepting us to be part of this course.
