On 17th February 2020, the school bid a fond farewell to the students of Std. X 2019-2020 batch. The secondary section staff and students assembled on the school ground. The students of Std. X A, B and C divisions were welcomed with a symbolic dove which they had to pin onto the backdrop. The words on the backdrop were ‘Fly high, the sky is your limit’. The animator, Sr. Theresa Joseph and headmistress, Sr. Sheela Furtado lit the lamp along with the three class representatives. The students of Std. IX offered prayers and presented a skit, songs, poems, and dances, which they had prepared for our outgoing students.
Sr. Theresa Joseph and Sr. Sheela addressed the students. They highlighted the values that had been imparted all through the school life of the students. They challenged the students to live lives true to the values learnt here within the portals of the school. The school leaders and representatives of all three divisions expressed their gratitude verbally and presented cards to Sr. Sheela. A purse was also presented which had the collection of all the students.
Files were gifted to the students by Sr. Theresa and Sr. Sheela. Then came the moment of blessing. Everyone extended their hands in blessing and the staff blessed each student individually. Students were then given to a talk by Sr. Sheela on the Past Pupils’ Association and students were enrolled in the Association. Snacks were served to the SSC students. A game was conducted which they all enjoyed. The programme concluded with the students placing candles at the grotto of Mother Mary. We wished all our SSC students for their forthcoming board exam.
