‘Go and do likewise’, with this theme we initiated the Value Education Week on the 3rd of February. The Morning assembly was animated by different classes for the entire week. The notice board too highlighted the theme. It was told to the students that the best-behaved student from each class would be awarded a prize on the Catechetical day. On the 7th we had the Eucharistic celebration for the Catholic students celebrated by our Parish Priest, Fr. Cipriano D’Silva.
The 8th of February was celebrated as the Catechetical and Value-Education Day. The Chief Guest for the Primary Section was Sr. Teresa, a Presentation sister from Peace Haven and for the Secondary section was Fr. Romeo Gudinho, Diocesan Catechetical Director. Both were warmly welcomed with words of appreciation and a potted plant. The students of the religion and value education classes presented different items in the form of dance, song and skits based on the theme and other different values.
Students who scored the highest marks in religion and value education and who were in some way or the other, examples to the others, received a prize. All the teachers and sisters too received a token of appreciation at the hands of the Chief Guest.
