All over Maharashtra, 27th February is observed as Marathi Day. Auxilium Lonavla celebrated the Marathi Day on 27th February 2020. The secondary section put up a meaningful programme. The teachers teaching Marathi had prepared the students. The significance of the day was explained. The beauty of Marathi was brought out through songs, poems, and dance. The contribution of great sons and daughters of Maharashtra was highlighted. Teachers recited poems in Marathi.
The Headmistress, Sr. Sheela Furtado, in her speech exhorted the students to be grounded in their mother tongue as this, makes the learning of other languages easier. As the programme concluded everyone was wished each other a Happy Marathi Day.
