The Province of St. Mary Mazzarello warmly welcomed our Visiting Councillor Sr. Phyllis Neves. Sr. Phyllis arrived on the 22nd of March 2020. Sr. Rita Dora Thomas, Provincial, Sr. Rita D’Souza, the Bursar and Sr. Supriya Noronha, the Secretary greeted Sr. Phyllis Neves at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai.
On 24th March Fr. Ashley Miranda, the Vice Provincial of the Salesian Mumbai Province celebrated the solemn inaugural Eucharist. He spoke of the presence of Mary in the life of the Institute. The students of Auxilium Wadala and Auxilium Pali Hill Bandra gracefully welcomed Sr. Phyllis through song and dance. The PAC (Provincial Animation Commission) members had a meeting with the Visiting Councillor. The members shared about their contribution and collaboration towards the Province mission.
In the afternoon after a sumptuous meal, the animators of the communities had a conference with Sr.Phyllis Neves. Sr. spoke about the importance of community living and about the community members. The Provincial Council too gathered around Sr.Phyllis to share about their mission and role in the building of the Province.
At the end of the day, a delicious supper was served to all and the Salesians too were invited to be part of the celebration.
After the traditional ‘Goodnight’ Sr. Phyllis Neves commenced the visitation to the neighbouring community of Auxilium Wadala.
