On 7th March at Maria Vihar, Nashik the hostel girls were much excited as it was their Annual day. The programme began at 3.30 pm. The theme for the day was ‘Women Empowerment’. We were privileged to have Ms. Reshma Mutha was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Ms. Reshma is the Past Pupil of Maria Vihar Youth Centre and now holds the post of an advocate in the Bombay High Court.
The parents and the guests were welcomed by the Indian classical dance form followed by Sr. Reshma Nune, the hostel warden. The girls put up different dances songs and mime related to parents and women. Ms. Reshma expressed her gratitude towards the Sisters who helped her to reach this stage of her life and through her inspirational talk, she encouraged the girls to take a step forward and to be the change as they are the ‘present’ of our nation. The programme ended with many memories to behold.
