The lockdown may have paralyzed the whole of India but it could not thwart the Canonical visit of Sr. Phyllis Neves to our Novitiate community here in Nashik. Thanks to Skype that made it possible.
On 20, 21 and 22 April were indeed grace-filled days for the Sisters and the novices who felt the presence of our Blessed Lady through the conference and individual encounters with Sr. Phyllis Neves.
Sr. Phyllis Neves affirmed the Family Spirit which she felt was very much alive in the community. She acknowledged the determined accompaniment of the formators to help the novices deepen their relationship with Jesus and become true and authentic FMAs. Words could never be enough to express our gratitude to our dear Sr. Phyllis Neves who through her extraordinary visit enriched us as a community. So the sisters and the novices gave a resounding roar of thanks to her with songs and dances. In response, Sr. Phyllis Neves encouraged everyone to continue to live as ‘Easter Women’ becoming a ray of hope to the humanity which is broken and depressed. She also urged us to intensify our prayers for the people who are suffering due to the outbreak of COVID-19. During her good morning cum farewell, she quoted Don Bosco saying “Have faith in Mary, Help of Christians and you will see what miracles are.” We need to place our hope and trust in Jesus and Mary and miracles will happen.
