AMAR # 1305 Provincial Gratitude Day celebrations in Goa

‘Building bridges of social friendship for a caring society’, was the theme chosen for our Provincial Gratitude Day celebrated on the 9th of December, for the Goa region including the community of Oros. All of us were united in prayer, as we prayed a common well animated Morning Prayer in our respective communities prepared by Sr. Caroline D’Souza.

At 10.30 am we were all in Carona around the Eucharistic table with grateful hearts for the person of our dear provincial, Sr. Rita Dora. With much love and gratitude we placed before the Lord each sister of our province, thanking Him for the unique role played by each. We thank God in particular of the past 6 years of dedicated and loving service of Sr. Rita Dora our provincial. The Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Christovan SDB, who, in his homily reminded us of the sense of gratitude that each of us needs to possess.

This was followed by a short entertainment programme comprising of jokes, song, cutting of the cake and games. The children were greatly missed on this solemn occasion. Sr. Rita Dora too thanked the sisters for all the collaboration and cooperation she experienced during her tenure as provincial. We concluded with an agape meal.
