AMAR # 1445 Activities at Kune

On 11th August 2021, at Ashish Bhavan Kune, the tuition children had a drawing competition on the theme ‘Save water, save earth’.  The Sisters instructed the students to use water sparingly and to respect God’s creation.

On 14th August the Sisters invited youth from the village to discuss the YPP project ‘Hope for the Earth and Hope for the Poor. Sr. Carol Nunes began with the meeting with a prayer and a video clipping on YPP was projected on the screen. Sr. explained to them the different ways in which they could be instrumental to help poor around them thus bringing hope in their lives. After the presentation the youth took two practical steps i.e cleaning of the village and planting of saplings.

On 15th August the Sisters along with the students and teachers celebrated the 75th Independence Day. Sr.Reshma Nune, the animator hoisted the flag and gave speech on the importance of the Independence Day. The school children expressed their love for India through speech and song.

On the evening of 15th August they had the commencement of the Marian month. The evening was meaningfully animated singing hymns to the Heavenly Mother.

The feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola was celebrated with the children. 32 children were present for the programme. The students were shown the Marathi movie of St. Ignatius of Loyola. Sr. Reshma spoke few words to them about the saint.
