On September 5, 2021, the Salesian Cooperators of the Laura Vicuna Unit Ahmednagar spent a Day with God in silence at Don Bosco Church Savedi. 20 members were present along with their family members.
At the beginning of the retreat, Sr. Nilima Rodrigues welcomed the members. Sr. also thanked Fr. Richard D’Souza and his community for accepting to preach the retreat. Fr. Richard spoke to the retreatants about the Rector Major’s letter to the Salesian family. During the following few hours the Sacrament of Reconciliation was administered.
The day was indeed a day filled with an experience of Christ that culminated with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. In his homily Fr. Richard said that Don Bosco offered a few means to achieve his holiness i.e to do simple things for the greater glory of God.
Towards the end, Mr. Kedari proposed the vote of thanks. He thanked Sr. Nilima for organizing the retreat, Fr. Richard for his animation, and his community for their kindness, generosity, and hospitality. Since it was Teachers’ Day we felicitated the teachers of the unit with a bouquet of flowers.
