AMAR # 341 Madanthyar celebrates DB

Don Bosco was a man for others and friend of poor youth. He had a “Heart as large as the sand on the sea shore.” He undertook all his works with a single aim “To save souls”. With deep sentiments of gratitude in our hearts on 22nd of January we celebrated the feast of St. John Bosco our Father and Founder.

The Parish clergy, neighbouring religious communities, co-operators, parents and the family members of our sisters who have joined from Madanthyar parish and the few lay collaborators responded to our invitation.

In the evening at 7.00p.m Our Parish priest Rev. Fr. Basil Vas celebrated the thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration together with other six religious concelebrants. Liturgy was well animated and the symbolic offerings were offered during the prayer of the faithful. He preached an effective homily on Don Bosco. He said that Don Bosco loved the youth very much and he dedicated himself in service of young people especially the poor and the abandoned. He loved them, educated them trained them by teaching different trades, guided them to have a bright future.

He also appreciated our service in the parish and for taking care of the young girls in our centre. After the Eucharistic celebration the animator Sr. Caroline Menezes thanked everyone for their presence and participation, and invited everyone to join in Agape.
