AMAR # 353 Annual Day Celebration at Maria Vihar, Nashik

The Management and girls of Maria Vihar celebrated their Annual Day along on the 28th January, 2018 at the campus. It was presided by the Guest of Honour Dr. Pranita Gujarathi amidst other sisters and parents of the girls present for the event. The theme for the event was “We are Family”, aptly chosen keeping in mind the place and presence of the family in an individual’s life.

The programme commenced with a prayer dance with the feeling of inspiration and togetherness. Thereafter, the Superior Sr. Philomena welcomed the gathering and exhorted those assembled to be families in whose hands rock the cradle of tomorrow’s future youngsters. In her speech highlighted the achievements and objectives of the institute, students and hostel during last academic year. She also motivated the girls and those assembled to do better in life and to give good witnesses to their families.

The biggest gift we could ever receive came from God and we called them PARENTS. A short programme was organized for the parents appreciating their role and interest in the lives of every girl.

The activities of the whole year were presented as an Annual report through a power point presentation where in parents got a glimpse and the complete knowledge of various events, competitions and activities held according to the feasts specified in the Indian calendar in the year.

The Chief guest Dr. Pranita Gujarathi in her address to the gathering focused on on the importance of family and its values in a girls daily life. She commended the good work done in the hostel and requested the girls to strive towards becoming good citizens and honest individuals who are determined to change the world.

The girls were then awarded in academic performance were awarded to the meritorious students for their commendable performances during the academic year. The distribution of the prizes was a way of commending the girls to who independently took keen interest in their studies, displayed their enthusiasm and took part wholeheartedly in the various activities conducted in the hostel.

It was indeed a moment of grace as expressed by the parents who witnessed their girls singing, dancing and acting sending home the message that at the end of the day WE ARE  A FAMILY.
