AMAR # 414 Community Gratitude Day at Aux, Koregaon Park Pune

The theme for the Gratitude day preparation was “Lord, Give Me this water” having the Pathways to Listen and Accompaniment. During these two weeks of intense preparation we tried to live the invitation of our Rector Major through his Strenna 2018 to listening and accompaniment. These were moments of community communion lived with total dedication appreciating each ones presence around and listening with the heart and through reciprocal accompaniment in the community and apostolate.

Our Community Day celebration began with the Vigil Service on 14th bringing out the outcome of attentive Listening and reciprocal Accompaniment. After the prayer moment we displayed ‘Surprises’ to our animator Sr. Gracy Thomas. Indeed we commenced our celebration with great joy and love. We thank our Lord for the life shared by each one of us in the community. It was really a reciprocal enrichment.

In the morning we gathered together in the chapel to pray and reflect on Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well. We also viewed our life based on this reflection.

At 9:30 a.m. Our Nursery kids expressed their hymn of thanks through a song and gifts.

At 10:30am we assembled together with our Teachers and Support Staff for the Eucharistic Celebration. It was a moment of raising our hearts to God our Creator in thanking and praising for the marvelous gifts that He has bestowed on us during this year with various personnel in our centre. We were happy to have Fr. Ivan De Souza sdb, the Rector of Don Bosco Koregaon Park  to celebrate the Mass. During his homily he exalted us to ask God to Giveus that living water so that we can share it with others but if we don’t have this water we cannot share it with others.

After the Holy Mass Fr. Ivan presented to the assembly the visual of the Strenna as the theme was in line with the Strenna 2018 of our Rector Major.

The Nursery and Professional School teachers and Support staff together with the Sisters presented the skit on Samaritan woman. The teachers thanked the Sisters through their song and dance. They presented well prepared card and gift to Sr. Gracy. Then our Teachers and support Staff invited us for Lunch out. This moment of agape was really an experience of fraternal love and concern.

At 3.30pm our Tuition class and professional school students expressed their thanks to the Sisters through poems, skits, dances and songs. Theypresented us some gifts.

At the setting of the day once again we as a community gathered together to thank God for all the good that is taking place in our center.Once again we remembered Salesian family, our co-workers, friends and benefactors and we asked God’s blessings upon each one of them. We prayed that Jesus may fill us with His living water so that we in turn may be able to share this living water with others and create many Samaritan women in our society.
