The long awaited day finally arrived. It was on 20th April that we had the hostel day celebrations at St Joseph Engineering college Vamanjoor for the hostellers of both boys and girls hostel. It was a beautiful sight to see all the hostellers dressed in the same t shirts with the theme hostel 2018 where friends become a family. 
The programme started at 6.00 pm with the formal programme where the Guest were welcomed followed by speeches by the Chief guest the Principal of SJEC the guest of honour Dr. Rio D’Souza and the Director Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza . Prizes were distributed to students who won during the games competition and appreciation was shown to all the hostel staff by the management by gifting them with sarees, chudidars n shirt n Pant pieces. This programme concluded with a Vote of thanks. Immediately it was followed by the cultural programme where there was a lot of singing, dancing and skits put up by the students. It was really a fun filled evening which concluded with a sumptuous dinner and the ballet dance on the grounds. They returned back to the hostel by 10.30 pm.
