“Run, jump, play but do not sin”

We, the community members of Baroda feel fortunate to have   had organized a Summer Club for the children between the age group of 6 to 15 years. It commenced on 16th April and concluded on 26th April 2018. There were altogether 43 participants.  For better functioning, they were divided into four groups .Each day of the summer camp was well planned by Sr. Kalyani Subramaniam and her Team of Sr. Urmila Torane and Sr. Minal Bhosale whose constant presence made the children happy and helped them to be free in their dealings with the sisters. Five past pupils generously offered their service in the club as volunteers which created an impact on the other participants of our school.

Each day began with a short Morning Prayer and a Good morning talk. There was lot of excitement and enthusiasm seen among the children as surprises unfolded themselves each day. We organised various activities  like Hair band decoration ,Preparing a gift box, mask making, Jewellery making, Glass painting, Flower  and Torran making, Fireless cooking, Face painting and creative Hair styles. Competitions like Solo- Singing, solo- Dancing, Elocution, and cartoon Characters were held in order to boost their self- confidence. The star events of the summer club were Race to the finish (Amazing race), Treasure hunt, Picnic to Camp Dilli and Fashion Show. The children indeed had a good time.  They participated in each activity with joy and fulfilled the task with great diligence.

Kruti  Bhatt, a student from another School, has this to say,” I have never experienced so much love and care from my teachers; the sisters and teachers in this school are like friends who understand us and help us grow, not with anger and strictness but with love and kindness.” She had tears in her eyes on the last day, and many felt sad that our summer club was coming to an end.

These 10 days of direct contact with the young were indeed very beautiful, where we, sisters got to know the youngsters better, far from the daily routine of studies and the hectic school life. Children are really the joy and fruit of our mission.  We will continue to be channels of God’s love and joy to the young.
