Lead others to serve

“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, then you are a leader.” – John Quincy Adams.

On 29th June 2018, Auxilium Convent High School had the privilege and honour to host the Investiture ceremony of all our newly appointed Captains, Assistant Captains, Prefects and Monitresses in the presence of their parents. The gathering witness the student council and more than 100 leaders were vested with responsibilities to make Auxilium a privileged place for the young.

“Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life.” Auxilium creates leaders through a world of learning opportunities which fosters the young minds to explore their innate potentials and qualities. Thus in the words of Nelson Mandela who said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” we ensure an education which enables the young students to become agents of change through their contribution to society and service.

“Lead others to serve” was the beacon call to our invested leaders who courageously stepped forward to embrace the new responsibilities bestowed on them by their Alma Mater. The headmistress urged the leaders to head various responsible committees like discipline and cleanliness; only English and display boards; media/external affairs/General knowledge; maintenance, fire drill, first aid and security and sports. She urged them to be a source of inspiration and an example to all and to carry out their responsibilities with a strong sense of commitment and dedication towards their Alma Mater.

Sr. Meena D’Silva, the Manager then officially invested the captains while Sr. Gloria and Sr.Maria Shirsath gave away the badges and scarves to the rest. The newly appointed leaders took the solemn oath to be faithful to their call and duty to serve the school with love and dedication.  While addressing the gathering Sr. Meena encouraged the students to emulate the four house patron namely St. John Bosco, St. Mary Mazzarello, Guardian Angel and St.Joseph.

The entire Auxilium family of the management, staff, and students at Wadala congratulate our Leaders and pray that God may accompany them to be genuine and compassionate leaders thus making Auxilium a place of learning and growth.
