According to our Salesian Tradition 29th June 2018, on the feast of Sts Peter and Paul, we at SJTC Lonavala celebrated the Pope’s Day. We solemnized the morning liturgy with a meaningful hymn and a special prayer for our dear Pope Francis.
In the evening we had a cultural programme together with the sisters and the boarders of Auxilium Convent Lonavala. The programme began with a prayer song followed by a skit, on the life of Pope Francis, action sons, dance, and quiz.
The boarders were well prepared for the quiz, and many of them won the prizes. Throughout the celebration, we thanked Almighty God for gifting us Holy Father in the person of Pope Francis, whose simplicity, kindness, affection, and humility have no bounds.
