“Leaders are not born but are made by their experiences in life.” To inculcate the leadership qualities in students and to give them a feel of the functioning of the Boarding five groups were formed at Pushpanjali center Dakor and the investiture ceremony was held on 30th June 2018. Kamina Parmar and Christina Khristi of class 11th and 9th anchored the programme while Sr. Urvashi led the prayer moments for the Occasion. The children performed prayed dance and enacted on the Gospel passage which was appropriate for the day. Then the leaders came with March fast on the stage by holding the flag in their hand. Then they took the Oath to remain faithful towards their task as a leader. Sr. Urvashi Administered the oath to the members. Parmar Kamina, Rathod Nikita, Parmar Krishna, Vankar Monica and Macwan Sandhya selected as leaders of Mother Mazzarello, Dominic Savio, Don Bosco, Pushpavati and Laura Vicuna groups respectively. Sr. Hilda Braganza, the chief guest of the day, congratulated the selected leaders and distributed Medals to them.
Finally, Sr. Elphina gave the concluding message about the pope and the right leader. She said a good leader should love everyone, build unity in the group, ready to reach out, and collaborate with one another. She gave the example of Pope Francis and said that he is a good leader who thinks of others and goes out of his way to help others and build unity in the society. She gave a call to every members and leader of the groups to be exemplary to other students and serve them well and wished them well. She encouraged them to do as they say and say what they do.
Finally the animator, Sr. Hilda Braganza congratulated the newly elected Groups Leaders and secretaries thus the ceremony was concluded with the distribution of sweets. Everyone present praised the leaders and wished them good luck and great success for the fruitful year 2018-19 ahead.
