“The 17th of August 2018 was a great day for the ADMA members of Benaulim Unit, says Rachel Fernandes, the Co-ordinator; it was our first Outreach Project, and we were excited… For the first time, 10 of us got together to visit the dear old people at Asilo, the Old Aged Home, situated in Benaulim.
“We were surprised and pleased to see the place well maintained, and the 27 elderly and sick women well looked after by 3 Handmaids of Christ from Calangute. They miss their loved ones, and so when any group comes to meet them they are excited and were happy with our visit; we felt the same. According to their need, we had carried some groceries. We mixed around with them, they sang songs along with us, and we prayed for each other. It was a touching moment when all of us took their blessings, and they asked us to come again.
“Well, we visited them and left… But, hats off to Sr. Angela and her companions who take great care of these Senior Citizens!”
