Oh Happy Night! Oh Joyous Night! The night of 27th August 2018 when the 4th Year BE students invited the 62 Freshers – 1st Yr. BE students for a “Retro Party”. Daryl Saldanha on welcoming them gave them a programme for their 4-year stay in the hostel by spelling out the word “fresher”. F is for – Friendship, R is for – Running, E is for – Enthusiasm, S is for – SJEC (St Joseph Engineering College.) H is for – Hostel,E is for –Earn, R is for – Radiance “Friends running with enthusiasm at SJEC Hostel to earn Radiance. “
The Director, Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza exhorted them to use their time meaningfully, while Fr Rohith D.Costa the Asst. Director stressed on being sincere and owning up mistakes for this he said will help them to grow well. Sr Margaret Misquitta spoke on how to be “Happy.” To be happy one has to LIVE WELL. She gave them 3 suggestions : Love, Laugh and Live. And to live you must ask questions about life n thus you will discover the Truth.
In between was the special dinner – chicken Biryani and ice-cream . And then followed the Informal programme of dancing, singing and games. The conclusion was the best when the entire crowd danced to the DJ’ s music.
