On 6th September 2018, Girl Child Day was celebrated at Auxilium Convent High School Bandra with enthusiasm. The students of Std X along with their class teacher Mrs. Bridget animated the programme. The celebration started by invoking God’s blessings. They prayed for all children who did not get the basic necessities of life and those children who have become a victim of child labour and trafficking.
A skit was enacted which gave the message to girls that they should always speak up for their rights. Then Poonam Nagda in her speech inspired students to become like great women leaders and fight for their rights. To conclude, a dance was performed by the students on the song ‘BETIYA’. 
The programme came to an end with a short inspirational speech by our headmistress Sr. Shiny Alphonse.
