Marian Fiesta 2018 was a new initiative taken up by the Salesian Sisters along with the Co-operators of Auxilium Caranzalem. The theme of the event was ‘Know Mary, Love Mary’ as our main intention was just this – to make Mary known and loved. There were 92 students in all from eight different schools of the vicinity along with their respective teachers. The Sisters along with the Cooperators worked together to make this event a fruitful one. After the registration where we divided them into groups, we had a procession where student representatives carried roses and placed them at the feet of our Blessed Mother. This was followed by a prayer moment.
On behalf of the community and the Cooperators, Sr. Caroline D’Souza, the animator warmly welcomed the students of the other schools spelling out the word Mary, as a Mother who Always Remembers You. We then had various Marian games helping them through each game to grow in their knowledge and love of Mary. This was interspersed with spot prizes, testimonies, and narration of miracles worked by Mother Mary which helped the children to grow in awe and love for such a powerful mother. We concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where the children gladly came forward to choose their prizes.
