Marian Month

We commenced the Marian month for the School on 16th July on the feast of Mount Carmel and on this lovely day we enrolled the members of the Marian group. The Statue of Mother Mary was beautifully decorated. We had an inspiring prayer service on “Mary’s service to others.” The children enacted the scene of the visitation which gave an emphatic message to one and all.

During this Marian Month each day a different class group animated the morning prayers with various skits, songs and dance singing the praises of Our Lady.

16th August was the solemn conclusion of the Marian month. The students beautifully enacted the seven sorrows of Mary which was well prepared and impressive.

Marian Nite

The 19th of August was a lovely memorable evening. The boarders had the “Marian Nite”.One could see the love, joy, and enthusiasm of the boarders as with great love and devotion they participated in this event. At 6.30 p.m. the candlelit procession with the beautiful statue of Mary carried by the animator Sr. Rosy Mascarenhas entered the academy hall in the midst of praises to Mary and was placed on a well-decorated pedestal, with burning candles around her.

The Marian Nite commenced with a meaningful and inspirational prayer moment when all of us prayed together singing the praises of Mary.

This was followed by various Marian games participated by the four groups, vying with each other to be victorious. The games were lively, meaningful and increased the knowledge of the boarders on Mother Mary’s life through most of the boarders were of other faiths.

At the conclusion, our Lady’s group proudly received first prize. Consolation prizes were given to all the groups along with sugar candies.
