AMAR # 592 Gratitude day at Lonavla

Merriment, song, dance, rejoicing and above all, a spirit of thanksgiving filled the air at Auxilium School, Lonavala, as Gratitude day was celebrated on 17th October. The whole school gathered in the basement which was colourfully decorated. Students lined the path from the convent to the basement. The Sisters were led by dancers and teachers into the basement hall. An aarti was performed and our dear sisters led by Sr. Josephine and Sr. Sheela were ushered into the hall. Every student wore a handmade cap with the words ‘Thank You’ Written on it. The programme began with a prayer service where the main theme was ‘Thanksgiving to God, to our Sisters and to one another.’ A variety entertainment programme followed. Songs and dances were performed by students from K.G. to Std. XII. Gifts and bouquets were presented to the Sisters of the school community. There was a beautiful power point presentation on the contribution of each sister. Sr. Josephine and Sr. Sheela then addressed the school, expressing deep gratitude to each and everyone.

The Sisters were served breakfast and lunch on behalf of the staff. The staff was also treated with delicious snacks. Each student also received the gift a token of love received from the school.

The day’s celebration concluded with a spirit of gratitude that made it memorable.
