AMAR # 634 Provincial Gratitude Day celebration at Aux-Wadala

“Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts”, says Henri Fredrick Amiel.

We as a community decided to celebrate Provincial Gratitude day with following ideas:

  • Put up the beautiful theme in the chapel.
  • Pray for the communities each day by mentioning the name of the sisters, thus reaching out in prayers to the entire province.
  • Animate the liturgy creatively every day ‘B – ATTITUDE’
  • Every Monday animate the “Lectio Divina” on the passages proposed by the Province.
  • Faith sharing on 2nd of December
  • Celebrate the day with the poor people of the locality.
  • Appreciate one another and write a good deed of each one during adoration on Thursdays and Sundays and place it on the board where the theme is displayed.
  • Praying for provincial and province every day.
  • Celebrate the day along with the MYC community on 12th of December.

The theme “SERVE THE LORD IN HOLINESS “ by practicing the B- ATTITUDEs helped us to be grateful for the marvels God continues to work in the life each one of us and the entire province along with the Provincial Sr.Ritha Dora Thomas.

We celebrated the day by practicing the above-mentioned ideas that we discussed in the community. Thus we cultivate a heart that is full of gratitude and service.

As we prepare for our Provincial gratitude day, we as a community celebrated the day with the poor and shared with them little gifts. The poor of the Wadala and the Antop Hill were called for the celebration. The day’s celebration began with a prayer service animated by Sr.Maria Shirsath and Sr. Meena D’Silva. The superior welcomed everyone who had gathered. Later games were conducted by Srs. Savita, Smitha, and Reshma.  Everyone enjoyed each other’s company.

We as a community express our gratitude to GOD for our Province, our Provincial, her team and each and every member of the Salesian family.

Gratitude is one of the strongest feelings we experience.  It elevates our mood and fills us with joy.
