The V Regional Congress of Salesian Cooperators (South Asia) held in Chennai from 25-26 January 2019, on the theme, Social Dimension of Salesian Cooperators’ Vocation. It was very well organized by the delegates and S. Cooperators of the Chennai Province in keeping with our Salesian spirit. We were more than 80 enthusiastic participants from all the FMA and SDB Provinces of India, including 8 of us from the INB Province. After the hoisting of the Salesian Co-operators flag, a solemn Eucharist was celebrated by the Archbishop of Madras-Mylapore. The keynote address on the theme was given by Fr. Maria Arokiam Kanaga Sdb, the Regional Superior (SA); Mr. D.S. Antuvan, World Councillor for S. Cooperators (SA) presented Glimpses of the V World Congress – Rome; there was a presentation of Strenna 2019; and other formative talks in keeping with the theme, all of which helped us to deepen our Salesian charism. We had a Joyful Evening, too. Election of Office Bearers of North and South Zone were conducted. We concluded with a pilgrimage to the Shrines of St. Thomas the Apostle and Our Lady of Good Health in Chennai.
