AMAR # 834 Feast of our Co-Foundress St. Mary Mazzarello at Aux-Lonavla!

On the 12th of July, a solemn procession led by the school captain escorted Sr. Superior Sr. Theresa Joseph and the sisters of the Auxilium community. Students vested with the habit of the Salesian Sisters’ accompanied the Sisters up to their seats. Tiaras were placed on the head of each Sister. The FMAs were presented with a token of love.

A prayer service invoked God’s blessings on the Salesian Sisters. Scriptures of all religions were read. A graceful prayer dance brought down graces from above. Our manager Sr. Theresa and the Sisters lit the ‘samai’ as the dancers continued to praise God through their dance moves.

Humble beginnings from a mustard seed to a tree. This was the message through the presentation on the life of ‘Mary Mazzarello – a woman for all time’. There was a sense of appreciation for what the Salesian Sisters do in various parts of the world today.

The second part of the programme was the AYM investiture ceremony students who desired to be part of AYG (Auxilium Youth Group) were invested with the pink AYG scarf by Sr. Theresa Joseph. They then took the AYG pledge.

Sr. Theresa then addressed the school she appreciated the efforts of the staff and students who put up the programme . Sr. Theresa also invited young girls who sense a call to follow the inspiration to join the Salesian Sisters.

The programme ended with the AYG members sing their theme song with one heart and voice.
