The feast of the Co-foundress of Auxilium Convent School was celebrated on the 12th of July, 2019 in Sr. Berta Sperrfechter Hall. The programme began with a prayer moment accompanied by clippings on the life of our Co-foundress, where she believed in the art of accompaniment of the youth. Another video clipping was shown on the life of St. Mary Mazzarello spoke volumes of inner beauty and strength in touching the lives of people. Next was a welcome song sung by our students in their melodious voices highlighting the values of joy, love and hope lived by our Co-Foundress in her birthplace-Mornese, a dance was performed ‘ Udne de’ depicting the empowerment of the girl child from the shackles of injustice.
Our Manager, Sr. Meena D’Silva gave us a message on how Mother Mazzarello wants us to be always humble. Each of us has a dream to fulfill this dream which can become a reality and so we have to be hopeful always. Our Co-foundress wants us to be always hopeful, joyful and holy. No matter what happens, try to be punctual. After her message, certificates and a trophy were awarded to the winners of various sports events.
Next followed a quiz on the life of Mother Mazzarello and winners were give a token of appreciation. Thus the programme concluded with a vote of thanks. Later on, an activity was conducted on ‘A Stitch In Time Saves Nine’ and where embroidery of their choice was done on a handkerchief, the best 3 winners from each Standard will be selected and house marks will be announced. The primary students prepared beautiful postcards, greeting cards and a photo frame of Mary Mazzarello with her beautiful thoughts on it.
