AMAR # 860 Saints live on… at Aux-Baroda!

‘Gaze upon Him and contemplate as you desire to imitate Him’.

Auxilium Baroda (English & Gujarati Medium) celebrated the feast of their patron saints Don Bosco, Mother Mazzarello, St Joseph and Guardian Angel 12th and 13th July 2019 with great joy and enthusiasm. The programme began with the students invoking the blessings of Almighty with the fervent prayer service.

A spectacular cultural programme was prepared by the teachers and the students based on the life of our Patron Saints.  The Superior Sr. Priscilla Travasso in her message highlighted that all the patrons should be our role models and advised the students to embrace their kindness and cheerfulness.

In the evening along with our parishioners, we had a Solemn Eucharistic celebration presided by Rev. Fr. Issac Arckaparmbil SDB. In his homily, he meaningfully brought out the life of Mother Mazzarello and her virtues were highlighted such as her cheerfulness, prayer life, her passion for God and her constant efforts to save souls. Through the reflection on the following questions Fr. Issac made us aware that how we must be inspired by the lives of the Saints.

  • Mother Mazzarello’s purpose of life?
  • Mother Mazzarello’s goal of life?
  • Who is the role model in our life?
  • What we do, why we do?

We also had a get together with our neighbouring religious communities. A short prayer service was conducted and through PPT the life of Mother Mazzarello was depicted to them. After prayer, a sumptuous meal was served to all present.

May Mother Mazzarello continue to inspire and guide us on.
