With great pride and reverence for our country, Auxilium-Nandgad celebrated the 73rd Independence Day. The Chief Guest for the day was Mr. Arvind C. Patil, an ex-MLA of Nandgad and who is currently working as a bank manager. The guest of honour was Mrs. Suma Naik, PSI of Nandgad police station. The students welcomed the guests with a solemn march. Mr. Arvind Patil hoisted the flag and we all saluted our flag, the pride of our nation and sang the National Anthem and Vande Mataram. It was a moving moment for all of us.
After that, we continued with our day’s programme which consisted of prayer service, patriotic songs, dances, mime, and speeches. Finally, the Chief Guest thanked and congratulated the staff and the students for the lovely thought-provoking programme and he urged everyone to give of their best to make India a better place to live in. Mrs. Suma Naik exhorted them to be responsible and good citizens of our country. The toppers of SSLC exams of the year 2018-19 were felicitated by Mr. Arvind Patil. The programme concluded with the distribution of the snacks that was sponsored by the Chief Guest.
