On the 5th of September, the Pushpanjali boarders celebrated Teachers’ Day. The theme for our celebration was “Teacher is a Lamp of the Nation.” We know that as the flame gives light to others, in the same way, a teacher brightens the lives of students and prepares them for the future.
We began the celebration by escorting the Sisters and the teacher through a dance. This was followed by the aarti. The children animated a prayer service thanking God for the gift of the teachers. Through a cultural dance, the children thanked the teachers. Gifts were distributed to the teacher and Sisters as a token of their love & appreciation. Then we ended the celebration with a delicious meal.
