On September 1, 2019, the cultural heritage club from the school visited ‘The Chand Bibi Mahal’ a 70 feet high tomb built by Salabat Khan in the year 1580 -one of the historical monuments in Ahmednagar. 17 students together with Tr. Archana Lokhandeand Sir Mayur Temak, spent half a day there, learning about the history of the monument and knowing many things in detail about that particular area.
As a gesture of respect, the students got together to tidy and clean the surrounding area, doing their bit to preserve and conserve this historical site which remains mostly hidden and unknown to a majority of the citizens. The students shared their personal experiences with the entire school during the assembly the following day. They look forward to visiting many such historical monuments in the near future.
