AMAR # 980 Aux-Pali in the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi !

 

Auxilium Convent High School, Pali Hill, Bandra celebrated the 150th birthday of Mahatma Gandhi on the 1st of October 2019.

A Peace Rally comprising of 400 students flagged off from Pali Hill and later culminated at Carter Road Promenade to bring alive the principles of truth, non-violence and to help improve environmental issues plaguing our country and the world. A street play and a mime depicting today’s values and deforestation were put up by the students. Mrs. Shyma Kulkarni, Trustee of AGNI and an environmentalist, congratulated the students and also spoke about Gandhi’s principles in today’s times.

The primary section of Auxilium Convent High School Pali Hill also put up a rally with lovely banners down the Pali Market thus reminding and enlightening the principles of Mahatma Gandhi and care for creation.

The students were accompanied by the Manager Sr.Leema Rose Joseph, the Principal Sr. Shiny Alphonse, Sisters, teachers, and the support staff.
