The 14th of July brought joy in Maria Vihar, Nashik. In the morning the boarding girls had a session on yoga and its benefits. Miss Shirvari Jagtap a specialized instructor in Yoga, made the children aware of the benefits of it through different ways and methods. The children were very happy to learn something different and new.
In the afternoon, the boarders’ hearts were overjoyed to see their parents as they came to attend the first meeting in the new academic year. The meeting began with a prayer and a welcome song was presented by the children. Sr. Philomena D’Souza, the animator and Sr. Vanita Kristi, Sister-in-charge of the boarding addressed the parents.
In the evening with much joy and enthusiasm, we celebrated the feast of our Mother and Co-founders St. Mary Mazzarello. The boarders staged the simple yet inspiring life incidents in the life of Mother Mazzarello. Sr. Philomena gave an inspiring ‘Goodnight’ thought on the virtue of humility which was the hallmark of our Co-Foundress.
The day ended with Viva Mazzarello! It was indeed a joyous day for all of us.
