( Sr. Socorrina Vaz) “Your beliefs become your thoughts, your thoughts become your words, your words become your actions, your actions become your habits, your habits become your values, your values become your destiny”… Gandhi: Keeping this in mind Auxilium High School, Caranzalem celebrated the Catechetical Week from 3rd – 7th Feb, with the theme, “Deepen your faith, be a witness to the community”. Encouraged and followed by our catechetical coordinator, Sr. Esperanca D’Sa, each day of the week different classes took turns to animate the morning assembly based on the theme given by the diocese of Goa. All the classes came up with different items which gave inspiring messages. On 6th Feb, we had a meaningful Eucharistic celebration duing which Fr. Joseph Colaco suggested simple and practical ways to deepen our faith and become witnesses of Christ and make a difference in our lives and the lives of others. On the 7th the entire school celebrated Catechetical and Value education Day. Each class presented their items based on values and the Word of God. It was a marvelous day, a day to learn lots of values and to reflect and examine ourselves in accordance with what we believe and to enrich our lives and to become loving and serving members of God’s family. The students who excelled in Religion and Value Education classes received certificates and prizes.
