St. John Bosco – A Man with a Vision
(Sr.Teotonia Vaz) “All Hail to you John Bosco” were the words on the lips of children of Auxilium, Carona. The day began with a short prayer moment as Sr. Rosy Mascarenhas led us in
to prayer. Our students presented the life of youngsters who face precarious situations under different circumstances and raised their prayers for such youngsters through Don Bosco’s intercession.
It was amazing to see the children amazed by the life of Don Bosco as they viewed the film of Saint John Bosco. Their eyes were a glued to the screen but their minds and hearts were with the saint as though they were living in his time, relating their childhood with theirs.
For us, the educators they gave a message, a message to rejuvenate their lives. May Saint John help each one of us to revive commitment to work with much love and zeal for the youngsters.
The Eucharist: Fount of Grace and Salesian Sanctity
The Eucharist was the fount of grace in the life of Don Bosco and he offered this sacrament of grace to his boys.
On this feast of Saint John Bosco, the cooperators, boarders, Past pupils, joined the community sisters in taking part in the Sacrament of grace, thanking God for the gift of this great friend of youth and prayed through his intercession to bless and help us all to grow youthfully in our love for Jesus.
Fr. Francis Athaide spoke on Don Bosco’s life which he dedicated for the poor and abandoned youth. He prayed that the Sisters too like Don Bosco be always dedicated to the good of the young and salvation of souls.
To the children he told what Don Bosco used to tell his boys “Here in your midst I feel completely at home. My life is to be lived with you- here among you and I have promised God to spend myself to my last breath for you”. The sisters are here because they have dedicated their lives for you. Let us thank God for their presence.
