A Day with God, for God and all about God!
(Sr. Antonette Rebello) We at Auxilium, Baroda celebrated our Catechetical and Value Education day on January 22, 2014 on the auspicious occasion of the great feast of our teenage saint, blessed Laura Vicuna.
The day was packed with value based items consisting of action songs, dances, skits, poems and crowning it all was the life of Blessed Laura Vicuna which was beautifully enacted by all the catechism children. It clearly and quite loudly sent across the message of the importance of a life of purity and sacrificing love.
Both the sections – English as well as Gujarati medium enthusiastically participated in all the items and gave their best to make the day meaningful, interesting and fruitful. Three cheers to all the Sisters, teachers and students who collaborated in making this day a success. Sr. Salome D’Souza spoke the final words and conveyed an edifying message to the children of both the sections. We indeed felt as if God was constantly speaking to us through different the various activities.
“Values are not taught but caught!”…this saying was quite visible on the Catechetical day for one could witness young eyes, minds and souls engrossed in the different happenings, trying to capture some moral lessons for their personal life. We look forward to seeing our youngsters taking giant strides on the road to holiness after the example of Blessed Laura Vicuna –an excellent model of Teenage Sanctity.
