(Sr. Maria Shirsath)On 17 February we began the preparation of our community gratitude day. The theme chosen for this day was “Together we build our home with love”. The entire week we prayed for each sister and practiced the virtues of patience, understanding, generosity, cheerfulness, forgiveness and availability.
Finally the long awaited day arrived as we gathered on the eve of our community gratitude day. Evening service was well animated highlighting the theme in a more creative way. On 22 February with grateful hearts we welcomed this day with much joy and happiness. We began our day with a meaningful prayer moment with a vivid power point presentation again focusing on the good qualities of our sisters and prayed for each other. During our evening adoration we thanked God for each and every member of our community and asked the Lord to help us to be a home that welcomes everybody especially t he poor and marginalized. The evening was filled with much laughter and fun as we had interesting games. We enjoyed these moments of togetherness, in this way we tried to build our community communion.
